Intercolumn two-phase flow patterns across falling film tube bundles

Two-phase flow patterns are critical in falling film heat devices. Hydrodynamic characteristics of turbulent films across a horizontal triangular tube bundle were studied under range Reynolds numbers and contact angles. A pattern map based on the k-means clustering approach was proposed after intercolumn two-phase grouped. The results demonstrated that liquid-vapor could be effectively reasonably grouped using according to void fraction interface area. There four identified: bubbles flow, annular-slug-column half-annular multi-bridges flow. next one another capable transitioning into other. It is only through two transitional half-annular-column can turn another. In bubbles' pattern, respectively, highest least averaged transfer coefficients attained. Simply raising number or lowering angle will not produce best results.
